Louise teaches on the area of sanctification in today’s lesson.
When you are born again, you are sanctified, but you have to be renewed daily.
Louise chooses some metaphors, on daily things, like keeping one’s home clean. It has to be done daily, and for your sanctification to remain fresh and meaningful, it has be done by daily reading to fellowship with God.
We are “in the world, but not of the world.”
We need to know what our relationship to God is daily, by a regular renewal of our fellowship with Him.
We cannot allow ourselves to live like or imitate the world, often evil and Satanic, vulgar, etc.
You have to take authority over your flesh, with the new rules of being sanctified.
What is sanctification?
- A need for cleaning from pollution.
- Renewal by the Holy Spirit.
Sanctification is being washed by the power of the Holy Spirit. God’s word is your spiritual “ivory soap.”
In today’s world, people will get angry with you if your lifestyle reflects a “sanctified” life. People will think you are sanctimonious and a “holier than thou” Christian.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 Stand Firm
” But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.”
