Pastor Louise Teaching on the Day of Jubilee and It’s Meaning for Us, August 12, 2023

Pastor Louise teaches today on the Day of Jubilation, often thought as belonging strictly to the Old Testament, but having a significant meaning for us as Christians today.

A wonderful web site, on Biblical Questions and Answers–https://www.gotquestions.org/Jubilee.html– prepares us for today’s lesson by Pastor Louise. “The word “jubilee”—literally, “the blast of a horn” in Hebrew—is defined in Leviticus 25:9 as the sabbatical year after seven cycles of seven years (49 years). The fiftieth year was to be a time of celebration and rejoicing for the Israelites. The ram’s horn was blown on the tenth day of the seventh month to start the fiftieth year of universal redemption.” “The Year of the Jubilee involved a year of release from indebtedness (Leviticus 25:23-38) and all types of bondage (vv. 39-55). All prisoners and captives were set free, all slaves were released, all debts were forgiven, and all property was returned to its original owners. In addition, all labor was to cease for one year, and those bound by labor contracts were released from them. One of the benefits of the Jubilee was that both the land and the people were able to rest.” “The Jubilee presents a beautiful picture of the New Testament themes of redemption and forgiveness. Christ is the Redeemer who came to set free those who are slaves and prisoners to sin (Romans 8:2; Galatians 5:1; 3:22). The debt of sin we owe to God was paid on the cross as Jesus died on our behalf (Colossians 2:13-14), and we are forgiven the debt forever. We are no longer in bondage, no longer slaves to sin, having been freed by Christ, and we can truly enter the rest God provides as we cease laboring to make ourselves acceptable to God by our own works (Hebrews 4:9-10).”

Louise Teaching on the Parable of the Sower of the Seed, Aug. 12, 2023

Pastor Louise Teaches on the Parable of the Sower of the Seed in this Bible Study. It is quoted below from the Book of Matthew, Chapter 13, verses 18-23:

18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Grace, Part One on Fear and How to Deal with It

Louise teaches the first part of a three part study of Grace. In this video she is focusing on fear. She begins with a short study of the Book of Job.

How does one deal with things that go against you. Job had to face fear in what happened to him. On the other hand, you have been given the power to speak life and death over matters.

Your words can bring about situations in your life that you may not even be aware of.

Fear, the opposite of love, goes against what the Lord has for you.

On the other hand, if I am walking within the principles and teachings of Jesus, then God has a solution for everything. Problems are going to come, but how you handle them is part of Jesus’s teachings.

Louise presents a series of “how to talk ” and how to confess the power and Word of God in dealing with problems, bondage, sickness, drugs, etc. Jesus told us the Kingdom of God opened up for you when you acccepted Salvation. Your Kingdom and all it promises is now. Having the right answer, the right words, will come to you through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

And we need to be ready to respond to people about the power and teachings of Jesus and the Apostles.

Louise then remembered when her home was destroyed by a fire in 2017, but how God gave husband and her strength and hope. Fear and hurt were put apart.

It is important Louise emphasized to get into God’s word and use them as you face fear and other situations.

Love to all of you.

As Louise teaches, your love walk with God may be the most important area in the your relationship with God and she explores the subject and lessons to be learned and applied, in this lesson.
