Louise Teaching on Faith, July 4 2022. Happy Birthday USA! Louise continues on faith in this lesson. Faith is needed to build upon for things you need, such as healing, etc. So, WHAT exactly is faith? Read Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Furthermore turn to Hebrews 3:11: “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest,” to understand why the Hebrews wandered for forty years after leaving slavery and Egypt. They spent forty years in the wilderness going around in circles because they weren’t in faith. Anything not of faith is a sin. You need to ask God for forgiveness so he will listen to you. Sin can harden your heart and reduce or cut off your relationship with God. And don’t add “buts” when you are saying, for example, that you are sorry. How does one obey in the end? By staying in faith.
Louise Teaching on Faith, July 4 2022. Happy Birthday USA! Following Part 1 on faith, Louise continues with Hebrews 3:16-19:16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? 19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.” The Hebrews could not enter Canaan without believing the word that has to be mixed in with faith. “Enter into his rest” through faith. Faith without words is dead. Not contradictory or wrong. First there is faith, then works proceed. Not the other way around. Good works do not produce faith. Jesus and his word are the same. His word is fulfilled by Jesus himself. Need to add faith to your own word and beliefs. Stand on the word and do not be moved. Shaking hands in the old days is the same as signing a contract today. And God’s word, like shaking hands, is his reputation. God is moved not by your needs, but your FAITH. You put your faith in his unchangeable, unchanging word. Love, hope, and patience always found by putting your faith to work.
Part 1 of Lesson Today on Divine Healing and Faith to Obtain the promises like healing, salvation, peace, prosperity, etc. Read Romans 4:16- 23 for the story of Abraham and his faith. The promise of God to Abraham. Before the promise comes to pass, Abraham and Sarah made some mistakes. And here the story of Hagar, Ishmael, etc. Your way is not necessarily God’s way. Abraham had to spend some time with God to find the truth of God’s message. Same with us. You have to speak what you believe and hope for. Jesus said “come to me with a childlike faith,” or a simple faith based on the love of the father.
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.
20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
What is faith? This lesson on the spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is the
Generator. The light switch is “faith.” It turns on the power of the
Holy Spirit. Louise uses the metaphor of learning to drive a car.
See Hebrews 11:1 for the definition of faith.
Romans road to salvation beings with Romans 9:10. The process of believing
and confession. Power is Holy Spirit who energizes you. Next Scripture is Mark
11:22-24.
Have faith in God. Faith and speaking go together.
What is your mountain? Your trouble or need? Your mountain is your problem.
Speak to the mountain and believe what you say and believe.
Find in Scripture what addresses your problem–the mountain metaphorically.
Then claim it–or the answer–with your spirit and your words.
Jesus’s parables and words never change. What you say has to back up what
you believe.
